Indian jewellery retailer Malabar Gold is planning to spend Dhs250m in the next two months in order to expand its presence across the Middle East and elsewhere, The Peninsula has reported. The retailer will open showrooms in Doha, Abu Dhabi, Delhi, Chennai, Vizag, Kottakkal-Kerala and a factory in Sharjah to keep pace with the growing demand of customers for Malabar gold jewellery globally. Malabar Gold's 59th outlet will be inaugurated at Al Watan Centre, near BHK signal, Airport Road, Doha on September 21.

 Tuesday, September 13 - 2011 UAE-based Landmark Group has launched Candelite, a first-of-its-kind confectionery and savoury concept in the Middle East, with an investment of over $100m, The Peninsula has reported. Candelite aims to open nearly 50 small and large format outlets in the UAE, Kuwait, Oman , Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia by 2012.
